Certainly not my best year, but there were a few high notes including more than 20 flat buttons, some great artifacts, a lot of silver, one badly corroded 1783 or 1784 Vermont copper and an 1836 Large Cent, the best large cent I ever dug.
My favorite is this unidentifiable piece of copper with the initials "H.V.B.". It was found on property of an area where the Bates family lived from the 1680's until the early 20th century. Hannah Bates was born there in 1708. Could she be H.V.B.? (penny is shown for size comparison)
