Enjoyed your posts and finds, Jerry. Wives just don't understand. Men do men's things and women do women's things. My wife keeps bugging me to take her to the movies, but after 34 years of marriage she knows my intentions pretty well. That last coin was a dandy I like those old scissors too. Great collection and hope 09 will be great for the both of us Ron

Your right about the coin Ed. The coin flip is actually labeled Nova Caesarea 1787 on top but is cropped out of this picture. The incredible coincidence about this coin is that i found it on Sept 17th,2008 exactly 221 years to the date that the constitution was adopted! This coin caused me to learn a lot about our early history and i finally learned what "e pluribus unum" means (one composed of many) What year is yours?

On September 17, 1787, the Constitution was completed in Philadelphia at the Federal Convention, followed by a speech given by Benjamin Franklin

Thanks Civilman,I wish i'd kept count of how many shotgun shell caps i dug this year lmao...i just couldn't resist them ya know? even when i KNEW it was gonna be a cap. I pitched a ton of them and noticed when i was spreading out the "junk pile" there were a bunch of them in there. Maybe this year i'll save em all just for grins

Re: Spent Some Time On My Knees This Year....
Wow Jerry, I guess I didn't realize that this was really your first year detectin'!
That's some pretty hardcore stuff there for the first year! Congrats!
I remember several of them well.
I too, gained SO MUCH knowledge from this site, that it made a major difference in my whole approach to detecting. And is a direct cause in me making most of my best finds in the last 2 years.
Hope you have continued success in 09, and beat all your own records!
Congrats on the Awesome year!
