2008 was the best year for me yet (with the help of the White's DFX)! I found more than 65 buttons at two sites, not to mention all of the great old coins that have already been posted! 75% of these buttons date between 1780 and 1840.

As far as the "non keepers" (clad, memorial cents, etc.) the totals are:

278 Memorial cents
44 jefferson nickels
110 Clad dimes
71 Clad quarters
1 Clad half dollar
2 Sacagawea dollar coins
1 Eisenhower dollar.

Not bad considering I did not detect in a single public park, beach or school yard!
