Hello Everyone! Thanks for taking a moment to read my posting!
SO this was my first year detecting, and I have to say... I was spoiled this year! I read post after post of people not finding silver, or having difficulties. I found my first silver after two months of detecting!
I remember my first really big hit. In the matter of two visits, I found the following:
1895 Indian Head Cent
1927 Mercury Dime
1936 Mercury Dime
1937 Buffalo Nickel
Dateless Buffalo Nickel
How can you beat that after two months? Once I found those, I was addicted for life. I did fairly well this year, in my eyes anyhow.
This year of detecting, I found silver coins, coins from the 1800's... and one of my last finds of the year is a 1797 Draped Bust! It's in NASTY shape, but never the less.. I found one! WOO HOOOOO!
Here is the breakdown of the coinage I found this year:
Paper Money - $1.00 (found crumpled up at the beach while detecting)
Dollars - 2 (Both sacs)
Half Dollar - 1
Quarters - 343
Dimes - 249
Nickels - 46
Pennies - 429
That's a total of 1063 coins equaling $120.74. Not too shabby!
I also found a bunch of jewlery. Below, you will see i've attached pictures of my coins, and jewlery.
Thanks for looking!

When you have children, you realize what your purpose in life is. There is nothing more important than your family. Cherish it. It can be gone in a blink of an eye.

Thank you all who commented on my finds so far this year! I'm pretty happy with the finds, and hope to find a lot more...
Funny thing though.. when you aren't detecting.. you imagine that you just get out your detector and find great things... once you start actually detecting, you realize all those people were right.. the only way to find the REAL good things is to RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!!!!! I only found my mercs, indian and buffalos by mere chance... I actually hit on an old farm road that dates back to the late 1800's!
Thank you all for your great comments!
