A great variety of finds there and plenty enough to call a good year. Is interesting how many French coins turn up.

WTG Don, you and your son did great this year.Really nice post the way you did it.
That's a nice group of coins you hauled in and love the relics.

I would need more pics, but your unknown 2008 find(the green looking tube), looks like it might have been a trench lighter. Is that possible?

More pics attached I did have this posted on What is it earlier in 2008 to basically no definite answer. It is not a trench lighter, I have one of those that I found. (pic attached).

Lots of awesome stuff from the year. Very sweet. One of the other things I really admire is you guy's cleaning methods on your coins/relics. You can tell you're not just swabbing it real quick and that you know what works and what doesn't. Interested in what's gonna turn up this year...

Re: Don and Dan's 2008 Finds

Fantastic finds, and a great way of displaying them. I laughed out loud at your list of finds, all those Willie 3's and Coronet Cents, Spanish Reales, Seated Silver and then the 1961 Roosevelt Dime! Man, I wanna hunt where you guys are hunting! Hell, I'd be happy with the 1961 Roosie!
