The 2009 season ended for me a while ago. This year I was not able to get out as much as I would have liked to. This was my first year with the Minelab 705. This is also only my third year metal detecting.

The finds were fewer but better this year than ever before...... Some of the better things,

1798 Draped Bust LC
1800 80/79 Draped Bust LC ( My favorite find this year)
1787 Massachusettes Copper
1818 Large Cent
2- Pewter USA Continental coat buttons
Large flat buttons galore!

There is alot more... Here are some pics of the better stuff

( Three LC's in pic are from last fall)

VP, you had another killer year for Colonial/early American relics and coins. Those Rev War buttons are the kind of top-notch finds that I just can't get my coil over. :dontknow:

Your 2010 season will be filled with many coppers and two or three Spanish silvers!! Trust me, it will happen, VP! :headbang:

What a great collection. I've only been at this 3 years too. I love the crotal bells but I've yet to find one.

That 1800/79 is very sweet! Yours is def. in better shape than mine! It's cool you found one to. All the other relics and buttons you have make me drool.

Those are some terrific finds. The pewter USA's are first rate. You will want to preserve them both--the one on the right looks like it is sustaining some rim loss.

Cheers,
