Well alot has happened to my life in the past year, for better or for worse. I came back to Sunny Florida from Hawaii. Metal detecting the water was very good to me, but you reep what you sow. And so, these are my totals for 2009. If we're counting "all" rings, there were 277 of them. The break down for the year is as such...
2 Platinum Rings. 137 pieces of Gold jewelry, 108 rings, 11 pendants, 3 bracelets, 7 earrings, 3 necklaces, 4 Grilles (sets of teeth), and 1 pocket watch chain.
193 pieces of Silver, 82 rings, 24 bracelets, 65 earrings, 11 pendants, & 11 necklaces.
2 Titanium rings, 1 Tungsten carbide ring, & 87 Junk rings.
Pictures below are most of the finds, some not pictured were returned on the spot and didn't get a chance for a pic. Then there was the money clip with $175 CASH in it.
Happy Hunting to all, thanks for looking and here's to a better 2010 to all.

You mean the land of 10,000 lakes, is not much water, and surrounded by the Great Lakes???? I'm from Toledo, OH, originally and found as many as 13 gold in one day up there, I see your from the same area, SE Mich., there's alot of water, just do a little research and go get it. HH

That is an unbelievable amount of jewelry. How many hours of hunting would you say that was to dig all that up? Just curious, do you find more in the water, or on the beach? I am new to hunting and live on a beach in North Carolina. I don't have a water detector, but want to purchase one. I assume you find most in the water. Could you share some details about where you find the most jewelry? If it is in the water, what would you say the depth is of the majority of your finds? I only found 1 22k gold ring last year, although I was learning my machine and didn't go but about 10-12 times for an hour or so at a time. I plan on much more this year. And hopefully a water detector will be in my hands here in the future... I want to see if you break your own record this year... Outstanding!

As for that last line...You and me both. :laughing9:
It looks like I got out around 138 times, for 4 hours plus each time out... and countless hours. Many miles of driving. All but maybe 1 or 2 were found in the wet sand.
