Here are most of my finds. I had a habit of giving away buttons to family members, so I'm short probally a dozen nice gilted buttons. And not pictured is the 1804 Draped Bust Half cent, sold for a pretty penny. A couple more relics (early whistle) I have traded for gear, (vibraprobe 560) and I also threw in my other complete shoe buckle towards the cost of my DFX! I dove head first into metal detecting and I'm very thankful that I have. I would also like to thank everyone here on the treasurenet forum, you guys have been very helpful all along. I am glad that I have a "community" of people with the same interests as I.

thanks,

Jesse a.k.a sniffy

also not pictured. 1892 Barber dime, 1879 IH, 1883 IH, and a 1890 IH....While in Georgia a home owner gave me permission to hunt her property. I started poppin out wheaties like nobody's business a total of 17 various wheaties in one yard. In 3 hrs I had 17 wheaties, earliest 1910 to 1959. 3 IH's and a nice Barber, I showed her what I found. She then wanted to keep the coins....her family owned a general store in the early 1900's. She claimed she wanted to showcase the coins in her living room. I hope she is enjoying them.

Third photo down, is that part of an opium pipe? (Near the top, right hand corner) I think I've seen similar ones in Denver. And that buckle is a killer find. Ya dun good.

yes it is, funny you noticed that. Found in my aunts yard, her neighbors home was built in 1740's. I did some research and found that chinese immigrants (slaves) worked on the farm in the late 1700's. I'm hoping this is a pipe one of them dropped in the fields.

Nothing wrong with that start! Plenty to look forward to because I think it would be pretty rare for a first year to be the best.

Sniffy,

Great job. You did a great job. Nice finds. You did a lot better than I did my first year. Keep doing what you are, you seem to be doing something right. Good luck in 2010.

You are proving to be one heck of a relic hunter, Sniffy. I can't wait to see what 2010 will give you.

That's a great year! I still have not found a large cent after 41 years of md.

Those are some AMAZING finds, especially for a first year. The only coin i've ever dug was a memmorial penny!
