My Year

Sorry it took me forever to post this. It was a great year digging with Josh (Sentinel) in Virginia. We ended up on a bunch of great sites, but the camaraderie and memories were better than any of the finds. We had several guests come and join us, but most of the hunts were just the two of us. It's long, 11 pages worth. Hope you all enjoy the pictures.. Jeff

Some background info on HMA

~Hampton Military Academy was in operation for only ten years (1852-1861) and continued it's operation after Virginia seceded from the Union. The cadets and staff joined the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia at the onset of the Civil War and the structure was burned. The buttons depict the actual academy.~

Some INCREDIBLE finds there Jeff. As you get older, you will look back on 2010 as the best detecting year that you ever had because it will certainly be nearly impossible to top as sites to hunt continue to diminish. WTG, Quindy.

I have a feeling that you are right, 2010 will likely be my best year :icon_thumleft: I doubt I'll hunt that much in a year ever again.. Priorities change but I still love it

Jeff,
I was trying to view your amazing post here at work on my Blackberry and it shorted out from all of those fantastic finds. I kept scrolling through picture after picture thinking, "surely it can't get any better" but it did. LOL
You have had an outstanding year and after seeing all that you have found, you rank up there at the top in my book. There honestly are so many great relics there you could start your own museum! A big congrats to you. Outstanding job.
