2011 - 5 Gold Rings, 18 Silvers + more 'Interesting Finds' pics added at bottom!

I've made it through my first year of detecting and was it ever fun! This has to be one of the most rewarding hobbies I've ever had! I've met many great people here on Tnet this year and I'm happy to be able to call
all of you my friends!

I have always been a history enthusiast and have collected, bought and sold antiques as a hobby for many years. As we all know this hobby rewards those of us that are patient and take the time to learn what our detector is telling us. It is such a thrill to find items in the ground or sometimes even on the surface, then to research, restore and potentially sell these items! This year my totals were almost $300 in change, 5 gold rings, 18 silver coins and 12 pieces of silver jewelry!

Thanks very much for your kind words Chris! These two rings were chained together in the same hole! The best part about finding them was . . . they were in my own backyard!

I've already sold all of my gold rings accept for the one with the red ruby and the diamonds. I told my daughter I'd give that one to her when she turns 16!

Thanks very much Goes4ever! I'm so happy that my first thimble find, could very well turn out to be my best ever! This winter I'm going to trade in my Ace 350 towards the AT Pro, so hopefully next year will be even more productive!

Thanks Dug! I only hope I can find more of the 'yellow stuff' next year when I get my AT Pro this winter! I've already sold most of finds from this year and I'll be trading in my Ace 350 to put towards the purchase of the AT Pro.
