Cru'Team's Bumper Year!!!

Firstly thanks to our silent partner (Land-Mag) for his now usual efforts in helping us build on previous successes.
I did 611 hours spread over 127 days, Dad did maybe 100 hours less than me. So below is over 1000 hours effort.
It was another Gold-less Year but it doesn't take away from several first's including a Sceat recorded as the first known example & 2 Viking Coins after never having any :o On top of that a Rare Viking Ingot with the British Museum & lots of other great finds. I did more pictures this year so please enjoy :icon_thumright:

An amazing record 1386 Roman Bronze Coins :headbang:

Thanks for all the great posts in 2011, they have made my mornings much more enjoyable and interesting, also increased my knowledge of things ancient.
As for gold, no-one is more likely to find a gold coin than you guys, I am expecting to see one in your posts anytime. Thanks again Nuggy

It is strange how we can get 6 in a year & then struggle for 2 years+ & get none, but I wouldn't have it any other way, that's the joy of detecting  If your ever over here, give me a buzz

Thanks, most of our other Roman Silver this year were pretty low grade, this one was a cracking coin. I remember it well, because we were hunting as a 'three man team' (unusual as it's mostly me & Dad) & I shouted out "come on Roman Silver" (we had not had any from this land at all), and only 15-20 steps later I dug it. :headbang: :laughing9:

My displays (about 4 cabinets, I think) are in the local Museum, I will try & remember to picture them. Problem is it's not open very often & when it is (Weekends), I'm out hunting :-\

The rest of the stuff is safe

Although, as I couldn't detecting on the 30th Dec, due to them shooting the land, I spent the day reorganising all the lower end stuff into drawers, I'll do a quick photo. (this is not the best stuff & I forgot to do the living room with 1 glass cabinet & a wallmounted display):

I used to chuck them a few years ago. Now I sell them as a job lot with other junk I don't want. So someone can appreciate it & I get a little battery money.

I lucked in with the Drawers, as I was offered them for free because work was going to dump them (I do yearly detecting displays at work so they knew it would be handy). They used to hold a Library of the old cassette tapes. I then would pull out every other division (see picture), or a number of divisions to make whatever size I wanted. Perfect :)

PS. Just realised you may have meant the Print Block Drawers I use for buttons etc..(cost me about £10 each off ebay)
