Had my best year for coppers ever in 2011, mostly because of the discovery of a virgin mill site
late in the year that produced 33 coppers for my hunting buddy and me over a four day period.
In past years I've found spanish silver for every 7 or 8 coppers, but this year I only found one
half reale, which I gave to the kids that lived in the home where the silver was found.
Highlights of the year were finding a nice Vermontensium landscape state copper, a decent NJ
copper, several Connecticut coppers, and a Woods Hibernia in good shape.
In 2012 I'd be happy to have my copper count come down a bit if I could manage to find some
Revolutionary War bits and pieces, and an early American silver.
Hope you all find what your'e looking for in 2012!

Dwayne

I hear ya. I could go all year and not dig any coppers and be happy as long as I could get one early american silver or rev. war button.

That mill site was AWESOME.

Really nice pile of coppers Dwayne. The only coppers I find come from the beach, and there almost always junk.
