Well Scrappy you know it well. You had found a 1600s coin and I asked you to hold the door for me. The only find that's ever left me gasping for breath.

Favorite Non Coin is prob this Patriotic Political button from the last quarter of the 18th century. I just love what it represents

Favorite coin find is the cut quarter of a 1797 8 Reales. Hard to say which is the favorite in non-coin finds. The enameled 1930's Chevrolet emblem, or the Sterling fish pin.

The old coins are just breathtaking, I can't imagine finding even an 1800's silver coin but you never know, that time might come for me,hope so and kudos to you that have dug even older coins.

That Pine Tree schilling is killer. My best find of 2014 was of course the CSA rectangular Atlanta Arsenal style buckle. Find of a lifetime and I know I will never find anything like it again but it still doesn't take the thrill of relic hunting away for me even though I found the Holy Grail so to speak early on. I would post a picture of it again but it's my avatars so no need.

A beautiful assortment. Did that buckle come together or each side nearby one another?

My best was dug in the Spring.... Rev War period British 24th Regt. officer button. Ironically it was found at one of the more pathetic places i hunted all year... well seemed that way until this popped up.

I did not get a coin that was anywhere near my better relics, but I guess that's something to look for this year.

Best coin find for the year was my 1872 indian head. And I found it right behind my house. I spent tons of time on research and talking to old timers to get some good spots. And just messing around in the woods I found a key date.
Favorite Non coin find was the 14k nugget ring

Favorite coin: This is a tough one, for I have found some 1700's coins, and even a couple 1600's coins, so it is hard for me to chose, but my favorite is this large cent, the details are amazing! (it is the same coin as my current avatar)

My favorite relic: This one is a little easier, though I have found many colonial relics, my favorite relic would have to be a hand-engraved, monogrammed, colonial silver shoe buckle, my favorite thing about it is that I was able to find out who owned it based on the monogram, he lived on the land where I found it too. I have found other shoe buckle, some fragments and whole shoe buckles, this is without a doubt my best even though it is broken.

Sorry for not adding pics. I am getting an error on the app saying I don't have permission to perform this action. I deleted the app and reinstalled and same thing??? I haven't seen this problem since the updates fixed all these issues???
