2014 was an solid year for me. Not quite that 2012 that I had a few years ago, but still not too shabby. I ended the year with 51 coins that dated pre 1865, 44 of them were pre 1815. 29 were Spanish silver coins ranging from the 1600's-1700's. The oldest coin was the odd roman 228 A.D. located over the summer here in VA. A beautiful Connecticut copper would probably be my favorite copper of the year and some nice large silver coins also round out the lot. I did manage 1 hammered, though it was holed and cut.

This was a year that also produced multiple military accouterments plates, artillery shells, military buttons, and even a sword basket with initials engraved. My favorite memory would have to be that of the Money Pit that produced a handful of the 51 coins pictured here.

Had fun showing these to each of you over the past 12 months, now looking forward to seeing how many more are waiting for me.

I love the Connecticut half penny, I saw that you or bill posted it in the Western and Eastern Treasures. I was thinking, "I think I have seen those finds before!" when I read it lol. Very nice year, good luck in 2015.
