I moved to Maine back in September, and have loved the scenery, the places, and all the people I have met. There is so much history here, that you really could find almost anything! In just the last 3 months, I found my first seated coin (1843 dime), my oldest Indian Head (1864 bronze), my first button and first military find in general (1820s Vermont Militia) and tons of great old iron relics and bottles. I'm already setting up sites for spring! I hope to see you guys out there some time! Happy New Year, and Happy Hunting!! Congrats on your digs. You have a way better chance of pulling pre 1800 coins than myself. Good Luck on more permissions, and enjoy knowing you are is a great place to detect.

Maine is a great state and you got some awesome finds. I'm still looking for my first seated... It somehow eludes me. I have a feeling 2016 is going to turn up some awesome finds for you.

Maine is so beautiful and I'll bet loaded with relics. We have to dig a little harder in Tennessee to get the goodies.
