I didn’t get time to do a years end post so here’s my deus year one totals (since it’s been a yr tomorrow. I’ve dug about $70 in clad. A month ago I had about $50 in quarters, the rest is too dirty to count. 912614CA-A9D7-48A7-90E3-532E0D385A62.jpeg here are some tootsies, other toy cars, a Chevy emblem, ect. 0B931006-BC3B-4724-9620-B7F0AAA4CCD0.jpeg Always love digging a foreign coin... as long as it’s not from one of the hhitsole countries.🤮 There’s a Panamanian cent along with a 1919 Canadian penny, a 1922 Italian c20, and others. I managed 4 Indian head pennies but gave one away, dropped one in my car and can’t find it and destroyed another trying to clean it.1 remains along with 2v nickels 1902,1906, and a buffalo nickel: undated. I found 2 WW1 army buttons 4CC9537D-147F-4605-9252-628F03E63B8A.jpeg here are a couple advertising keys, a Colgate coupon and a peelers check from mt airy mining company. I’m sure I’m forgetting something cool... i did find about 25 gallons of trash metal. 69740406-7199-46E4-8B1D-BEFC595832AE.jpeg 66322DBB-04CB-41FE-8E5D-11957DA1FC16.jpeg and now the good stuff..... I managed 34 silvers with 9 Rosie’s 13 mercs,4 quarters including the seated (which was my first quarter ever!)and 2 standing liberty halves. Also 6 silver jewelry with that big tacky dragon being the strangest. It has no mark but tested as silver. It has 37 cz’s and 2 rubies for eyes (very small rubies). It looks like something a break-dancing satanist would wear. Thankfully, I had already dug the St Christopher charm and it apparently blocked the bad mojo from that thing.. Detected 4 rings including a turquoise. Only dug one gold and it is plated and is ratty, not pictured. That’s a really good first year. Wow.

Two half dollars, seated quarter and SLQ... Those are really nice silver coins. I have yet to find a seated coin, so that quarter looks especially good to me.

Good luck in 2018 sir.

thanks everybody for the kind words. I got the bug bad now. got really lucky on that seated. I was actually 10 min into searching a field for arrowheads. My buddy (whom didn’t have his detector) and my kids were floored. At the time neither of us even knew what they were called. I just knew I had a real old quarter. We’ve pounded that field looking for more to no avail. They will turn it again in a couple months and it’s on again. I’m convinced there’s more. If not I will have fun trying to find it.

I'd take a guess and say you won't be leaving the hobby anytime soon?

You had a great year.

Are you near Mt. Airy?
