Hello, and happy new year,
I'm new to this metal detecting hobby and am interested in finding folks down here in Lower Alabama to hunt with or talk with. Is anyone here near the Mobile area? Know of spots I should look for or stay away from? Gimme a holler and let me know. Thanks.

Cool, good to meet you Ms Diggz. I'm down in the Mobile area but I have an aunt that lives in Ozark. I've been meaning to head up that way when I have a long weekend for some fishing and visiting. I Will be bringing my detector with me when I go. Gotta see what I can find, right? Have you done any good with your detector?

Well, I just got home from vacation & worked today then tomorrow- but off for 4 days after that so I will certainly get in some hunts. I will let you know where I go, so you can try them :-)

meh77gmc got an awesome spot but you better act fast..... Gulf shores public beaches.......they have been installing a pipe there through the holidays they have had bulldozers and excavators turning the beaches over this equals mucho finds metal detecting. You are in a great spot there in Mobile my friend.....

Naw, i've found a couple dollars in change, but nothing to get excited about. I'm gonna stay at it though, as long as the weather lets me.
