Can I sell this on the bay? I actually found it on the seashore of a bay I am moving to. From my research it is the left pelvic bone of a seal. I can not find any bones on ebay, only fake and halloween. My new side business will be beachcombing and selling the interesting things I find. I already have some driftwood on the bay. The last pic is me in my new office, actually my banner on one of my websites.

I think it's ok. It's not ivory...

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!

One way to find out. I did not know switchblades were not allowed. Ebay let me know within 15 min of listing.

I've seen plenty of animal bones sold on Ebay. I know someone who does it, he has never had a problem.

Driftwood sells on ebay?
That would be cool, as our coast here has tons of it!

If the seal is a protected species then you might have a problem listing it.

Oh no did I give you an idea? Oregon driftwood does not sell at all. I found these in Crescent City. Only CA driftwood sells. ;)

I will be moving to CC in two months. Going up to visit next week.

(for those of you that do not know, Oregon Viking is only 25 miles north of where I will be living)

California DFW has all kinds of laws regarding animal parts , even mounts regarding sale or possession. If you are in Ca, you may want to check first. They do check Craigslist.
Check your local state DFG/DFW website. You don't want to hear THAT knock on the door.

I know this post is a month old, but wanted to save you some trouble. You might want to check the legality of possessing marine mammal remains. It's pretty strictly controlled.
