Since when are you not allowed to... Use the words "Ox Bone" in your title listings on eBay? I can understand Ivory (to a certain point), the use of the word that is, as it applies to eBay. However, now they have zeroed in on other words that unscrupulous sellers use to sell Ivory pieces too I guess. Is this a new thing? I remember maybe 6 months ago I had a listing that got pulled because I didn't put what kind of bone it was. Now we can't even advertise bone items on there, except in the description. What a joke. Whacked out liberal freak company.

For the record I have never tried to sell a piece of Ivory on eBay.

I still put Ox in the title, euphemism my ass. Tried misspelling Bone without an E but it caught that too. I may try some other bone terms later, like cow and bovine along with bone. Screw 'em.

Are you sure it isn't the combination of "elephant" and "bone"? That would make more sense because ivory could be called elephant bone. Not saying that ebay ever makes sense.

No, they use filters that automatically keep you from listing anything with "Ox Bone" in the title. The last time I tried listing a bone elephant compass, it was pulled shortly after I listed it. The reasoning was I didn't specify what type of "Bone" it was. Go figure. Let me jump through another hoop.

Since I was the first I'll reply. Limit it's liability? That's laughable and a typical response. It's more like bending to the will of a few complainers. Can you quote the law that says the term "ox bone" is illegal or that it is now legally defined as a synonym for Ivory? I didn't think so. Yes, they have stringent laws on the sale of Ivory, which they should. However, it does fall back to ebay being a liberally owned company, no matter how you want to look at it.
Their reasoning is because people are skirting the laws by using other key words to sell ivory. So they install filters to just wipe out every title that has ox bone in it, JUST TO PACIFY THOSE WHO ARE COMPLAINING. And we know who "THEY" are. <br>
Limit it's liability? Please show me a case where they have been sued because someone listed or sold an ivory item, much less an ox bone item. That's not what happens. Ebay just gets rid of you as a seller if you test their rules too many times. That's all. No lawsuits.
So yes, a company that bends to the will of a few complaining whiners is the definition of a liberal company in my view.

My complaint is a valid one. It's not like I didn't recheck the policies BEFORE listing my item. If you have a policy PUT IT ON YOUR WEBSITE IN WRITING, FOR ALL SELLERS TO SEE. Nowhere is it mentioned that ox bone cannot be in the title. To the contrary it says that it must be listed in the description. This is not something new. As i said before, and you alluded to it, it is those screaming liberals in California. I live there I know what I speak. One liberal I read wants to stop restaurants from giving out straws unless they are requested. BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE OF PLASTIC. Pretty soon those same libtards (thanks clad I learned a new word) will want to do away with drinking cups and styrofoam food containers in restaurants. What will they suggest we do? Hang out at the drink dispensers with open mouths under the faucet and give us all a fork and let us go in the kitchen till we ate out $10 worth?

By the way just last year the idiots in this state voted to charge 10¢ a bag in grocery stores. Now I have to remember to bring in used bags to pack my groceries. If I forget I have to push my full shopping cart to my car, usually in the rain, and load the car. Fortunately I live 20 miles from Oregon. They do not charge for bags and gas is about 50¢ cheaper and not self-serve.
