Just about every night I cruise the bay... usually silver dimes, quarters, silver coin lots, etc..Please note that surfing ebay late at night is like Nyquil, it will put me out quick for some reason! And there's been more than once that I've woken up to find something in my cart, so I carefully back out. Well...SOMEHOW, recently i managed to push all the right buttons in my sleep, because I received a notification from ebay..."item shipped". WHAT!?... so I dug in and found I had purchased a VERY COMMON, circulated and non-descript 1943 Mercury dime, Philly mint. Yep...at $12.95...Free Shipping tho!! And to boot, it appears to have been cleaned with a wire brush or a sandblaster...Ugh... And I KNOW I didn't buy it on purpose because I can buy those all day long at around $1.50-$2.00 each. Any of you all ever do that? I actually thought with all the prompts, it would be almost impossible to do... but, alas, 'tis. Buyer Beware! And stay awake...Ddf.

Dude, step away from the keyboard..... lol

I'd be making sure that there was no ebay access close to me at night.

One of my good friends keeps telling me he needs a breathalizer for his computer so he can't order online when it's late and he's had a few cocktails.

Lol...Funny Rusty!! The only advantageous being dirt poor is that my bank account wouldn't support a purchase that big! Add leather...rims...omg you cracked me up... thx I needed that, Ddf.

Gunsil, I'm sure there are a lot of people that could use the breathalyzer option! I was stone cold sober...still can't believe it, I received it Saturday and still haven't opened it...ugh, $13 Mercury dime...not even SEMI key...Ddf.

Will do Tommy!! I still can't figure out how I got through the redundant prompts and managed to successfully purchase something in my sleep... and get this! .... when I first saw I'd bought something, and saw it was a Mercury dime, cold chills ran through me bcoz it was then remembering one of the last things I REMEMBER looking at was a $300 graded Mercury dime and was actually relieved I hadn't bought that one...then found it in my cart!!! HA! I slooooowly backed out of that one..lol..Ddf

I like to pretend that I bought it by accident in my sleep to justify it, but it never works.

Sleep buying is the excuse I give my wife when I want an expensive coin ! Sorry Dear - It was 1:00 a.m. and I'm never up at that time ! I must have been sleep walking (buying).
