    My paleo frame

This is the paleo that I have in my collection currently. the 2 Sloan's at the bottom are over 5" and from Indiana, the center piece is an unfinished Clovis the base has the nipple for fluting, it is 6"+, it is from Ohio. the real prize in the whole case is the far right Dalton it is fluted serrated and absolutely perfect, it actually received a G 10+ from Davis!!! I also updated my website with some great pieces, bannerstones (1 from Earl Townsend) and 2 gorgets (both from prominent Ohio collectors) and I'll put up some more pics of my collection soon. thanks, Scott

Jonnyreb the side notched one is a dalton that was notched by a later culture, it is made of green patinated Hornstone. it has some of the best flaking I have ever seen on a trans-paleo piece, it has microflaking all along the edges. thanks for the interest, scott

    Re: My paleo frame

Heres a pic of the bottom left and right sloan, first one is made of a pink and yellow jasper material, it is 5-1/4" long and found in Clinton Co. IND. the tip is broken but is rounded off. the Ft. payne chert sloan was found in Louisville Ky. and is 5-1/8" long. both are super nice and great additions to my collection. enjoy the pics and more to come. Very nice artifacts. Do you keep them in a frame are or they displayed on a self,if its the ladder be careful letting some one get excited and drop one I've collected for 30+ years and its happened to me twice. Its hard to keep your calm when it happens. I have a relic room, here at home, admittance is only allowed if I'm supervising. Do you think I'm to overly protective?

    Re: My paleo frame

I have a safe that everything expensive stays in. I will allow people who visit to hold them but I bring them out one at a time or in small lots. I would say that I'm over protective but I (or the person holding them) can't replace the piece. It is a one of a kind piece of ancient art. thanks for the responses, Scott
