1-1-2009 Hunt

My buddy and I went to a spot that flooded. He
found a hammerstone and I pulled out the best
point I've seen come off this spot. This site has
been hunted for a lot of years before me, but
they still can be found. It has no damage, but
it's a little unsymmetrical. The slate piece looks
like a natural stone that was picked up by an
Indian for some reason.

It was found on a little ridge between two very
close high spots where mud likes to collect from
yearly flooding. A good spot to hunt where people
don't look. Last winter somebody ignored a low
spot close by where a flood took off silt and
exposed huge amounts of fire rock. They just
don't think to look around or at least off in the
distance to see what has changed.
