    2 for id

    trying to id these for my dad think the first one might be a lost lake but im not very good at i.d.ing points.
    both came from tenn. river.

    I dont' think that first one is Lost Lake, in my opinion it's either a wade or an eva. Probably wade. I don't know on the second, but it has pretty flaking. I always wonder how they hafted the short based ones.

    i noticed that the first one is real close to a kirk corner notched also.

    Looks like a Lost Lake to me.not sure on the second one.Nice finds!

    My vote would be A Kirk corner notch, on the first point. I looked threw several books and its the closest thing I can find to it. It looks like they are made from Sonora flint. Very nice points whatever they turn out to be. I would put them both in the Archaic family. John P.s I noticed in several books they just call them Archaic corner notch. Good luck

    it's hard to get the picture to show it but with the eyes you can that it is beveled on one side of each face.i'll try and get some better pictures to show that.

    I too think the first one is a Kirk Cornernotch Point and a darn fine one at that. It has the classic Kirk shape, base, and notching.

    I have no clue on the second piece except for a Knife of some kind.

    The first one looks like a Lost Lake to me, but then I live a long way out of the Tenn. Valley. Both are dang nice points, and I like that material too!! Thanks for showin.
