Sorry, she hunted all over s Texas and sw New Mexico. Im pretty sure it was found in the desert because it was in a little tin with other prehistoric pendants and shell beads and what not. I found a web site awhile back with some very similar found in Mexico, ill try to find again and post the link. I believe it is possible it could have made its was up here through trade. I am not saying that for sure, since i did not personally find it myself. Just seeing your alls thoughts.
