    my first !!!!!!!!

hello, this is a pic of my first arrowhead/fishspear ? any help on classification, age and type would be appreciated. this was my third serious point hunt and my first good find. hunted a plowed field in perry county. hunted about two hours, the field was full of flint and other material. found the point at the edge of the plowed/unplowed field when walking back to the truck. anyone in central ohio or anywhere in ohio interested in a hunting partner for points, artifacts, bottles or metal detecting please e-mail me.
    thanks,chuck

    Re: my first !!!!!!!!

seeker41. very nice Fishspear Point. That is a classic example of an Ohio point type.

If you would like to meet some other Ohio hunters then come to the Archaeological Society Of Ohio meeting this coming Sunday, May 17th at the Aladdin Shrine Temple on Stelzer Road in northeast Columbus. The temple is located just off of the 270 bypass. If you are coming north on 270, take the Morse Road exit and turn left at the bottom of the exit, go to Stelzer Road and turn and the Temple is about a couple hundred yards up on the left. If you are coming south on 270, then turn right at the bottom of the exit and then left on Stelzer.

These are usually very good shows and a great way to meet fellow collectors from around the state. I'm not going to set up any tables, but I will be there walking around with a tray of Ft Ancient artifacts I just found. I am going to enter my Pipe in the Field Find Contest to see how it does. I be wearing a black hat with an orange bill and a orange/white "W" on it. If you see me introduce yourself.
"Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends."
