A show for OHIO !!
Not trying to disrespect any of the other states, but if you have Ohio stuff , show it off here!! Ohio(chuck), requested to see some of my better finds and I know most of you have seen them. We seem to have a pretty nice following here of Ohio hunters, so lets get a thread going here of our nice Ohio finds. I will get it started off with some of my better finds in the 13 years of artifact hunting that I've been doing.
Here's our chance to REPRESENT for our state , Ohio!!!!!!!

Re: A show for OHIO !!
Bent-Twig, you are very welcome. I really like threads like these so we can see some of classic Ohio point types posted.
Thanks for the comment on my Pipe also. I took it to the ASO show in Columbus on Sunday and won Best Of Show in the miscellaneous category. I was up against a Birdstone found by mickey from this forum and a Tube Banner, so I felt very fortunate to come away with the ribbon.

Re: A show for OHIO !!
Steve ,
Congrats on the best of show!!
You were up against some tuff competition. That birdstone is a dandy for sure. He found that somewhere just North of me. I am going to head out here in just a little bit to do some walking. Now that the mushrooms are done popping I cant get back to looking for relics. Those Morell Mushrooms keep me pretty busy for a couple weeks every year.

Re: A show for OHIO !!
Steve,
In picture 179, is that a Turkeytail? Kind of rare for our state if it is. Sure looks like one. That had to be a thrill to find.

Re: A show for OHIO !!
Nice stuff for sure and I do believe worthy of a thread.
Bent Twig...man your stuff is unreal. I do not even know where to start. That paleo lance has got to be my favorite. You have some incredible finds. And to find two bannerstones.....wow!
Dork......man that stuff is really nice. I still cannot get over the pipe. Congrats on the ribbon. I think my favorite flint of yours are the archaic bevels and the Palmers.
Thanks for the show gentlemen. I am currently at work with out much in the way of pics. The hornstone heavy duty in this pic (which I have shown recently) was found in Preble Co. I do not have 1/100th of the stuff you guys do and probably never will.
Thanks again.

Re: A show for OHIO !!
Bent-Twig, I have always thought it was a Turketail Point. It was a surface find from back around 1980 before I even knew what TT was and after I found out I tried to get permisiion to dig around where it came from to see if there any more and never could. Now that spot has a new entrance to the Dow Chemical Plant and I'm sure I'll never be able to see if there are any more there.

Re: A show for OHIO !!
Ohio,
The one bannerstone in the small case by itself is complete but has some plow scars on the other side. The winged banner in the repair case only had one half. It is broken right down the hole. I made the other half . I have found pieces and parts of maybe another half a dozen banners. Here is another one I found. It not as nice as the other two , but a banner none the less!! Post up your finds , cant wait to see' em.
greg rocks,
Cant wait for you to show your stuff. I know you got some goodies to show.
