Daughter's day out
Took my daughter to a very muddy tobacco field today and she really put it on me. She found three beauties and I found the duds. She found the one in the red showcase and I think it is either a cumberland or a clovis (most likely). It is about 1 3/4 in. long and 3/4 in. wide and flawless. Any opinions appreciated. Her broken point is a real heartbreaker also. I found 2 broken points and a honker knife(?) I think.

Re: Daughter's day out
first one from that field. It is thin and fragile and the base is ground. It has a place in the safe beside my cumberland.

Re: Daughter's day out
Much like I do when an MDer finds a gold coin(the epitome of MDing IMHO), I will likewise nominate any Clovis point found intact for the banner. Especially if found by a child.
Banner.

Re: Daughter's day out
Woohooo! Go daughter go! Nothing better than taking the kids out looking for pointy rocks, and it looks like she found a dandy. Is the hafting area pretty heavily ground on it?

Congrats to your daughter. It is just as rewarding watching the kids find em as it is for me to pick em up. John
