    info or id plz new to posting long time fan

    Hi

    last week i walked the creek in back of my house came up with a few things that i will leave to you experts to tell me pretty green at this.they came from the st louis ,missouri area also found a couple tear drop shaped scrapers edges well worked . the 1 with the flute has me really confused as to what it was or going to be thanks forlooking and may all your hunts be wonderful.

    Fine finds you have . The one you are holding in your hand appears to be broken. It looks as if it was fluted at the base. Great to have such opportunities close to home.

    Welcome to the board Marty! Looks like you've been hunting either a rocky creek or riverbed. Is the first piece uniface (flaked on one side only)? It appears to be either a large flake, or a biface in the midst of reduction. The "flute" is simply an overzealous thinning flake from the base. The material looks like Burlington. The second looks like a large Smith knife - perhaps made of Jeff City Chert. The red piece I can't tell too much about, other than it looks like a tip made of heated Burlington. It looks like the last stemmed piece is missing part of the base, which would help alot in ID'ing. I would bet it's either a Table Rock, or Rice. Is the stem area ground?

    hello and ty awesome info coming in the first piece has what looks like a large reduction chip in the same area on the back coming more from the side also the stemmed point has several chips on the stem itself and you called it correct its a large creek bed from which i found these . thanks again
