    Knife River Flint

    KRF must have been valued highly as a trade item

    it sure looks like it was very easy to work

    here is a point made from the darker more scarce variety

    Very nice. I love that KRF that is just about black. You are right about it being scarce, out of a few hundred KRF points that I have, I'd bet less than half a dozen are of that color.
