    A Favorite Paleo Blade Tool

Found by Paul Snyder in (or around) Seneca County in NW Ohio. Material is good quality Delaware Chert. Clovis seems to have avoided using this for some reason, but it was a favored material of Late Paleo cultures. Via Steve Worden in trade for some points.

Interestingly, the reverse is retouched the same way, which is unusual for paleo tools. But I don't think it's a Hopewell blade from the thickness and all the careful edgework on it, which pretty much leaves late paleo.

I could have sworn there was a similar artifact from the Mesa Site in Alaska pictured somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere I've looked.
