    Kentucky Blade Sidescrapers

Debated over whether to post such a mediocre quality image or not (posting sub-optimum images is a good way to get motivated to produce better ones).

    All three from Kentucky.

What is the quartzite the one on the left is made from ? Doesn't seem to be Talahatta, and I've found an inclusion of identical stuff in a bone white, low lustre but fine quality chert I had assumed was a variety of Flintridge. Some retouching, but mostly edge wear from use.

The two at right seem to be some kind of hornstone. The one in the middle is obviously an initial removal from a new core being made. End-Side Scraper/Knife.

Example at right has pretty scraper edgework all along the right edge (unfortunately tilted away from showing this).

Notice the little spurs at all three top right corners.

Nice tools uniface. I love finding those Edge Scraper Uniface Blades, as you know from my post on them.

I love 'em. Similar to some of my finds and thanks for your feedback. I have more submitted today. KW
