    Recently aquired pieces

I have picked up a few artifacts over the past month or so. Thought I would put up a few to show them off. The Boyles chert Adena is 6" long and found on the Slate Creek in Bath Co. Ky. The deep notch is from Saline Co. MO and I don't know the material from up that way. The Porphyry axe is from Ohio but was never given a county, it came from Ebay for a steal. The big 4-5/8" bischer chert thebes is from Southern OH and was the largest one in the collection of Terry Reed (pictured in Who's who #1). The 4-1/4" sonora lost lake is from Taylor Co. KY. The 4" upper mercer dovetail is from Erie Co. OH. Enjoy the pics, Scott - www.miamivalleyartifacts.com
