Gotta question for you guys and gals

I found this in the Hiwassee river many years ago , the shape is what stood out to me . Most all the other rocks were round . My question is ............ is this an artifact or just another stone ? Thanks in advance .

That's really cool... It looks like man has altered that for sure. Maybe it was used for grinding, Let's see what the others have to say. Kind of has a boat stone kind of look... Great find..

Hard to say from the pics, but it looks like it may be an unfinished celt or chisel

I would have said Geo fact but I saw you mentioned the river Hiwasse. That river has produced tons upon tons of artifacts. Some of the finest polished celts and stone tools to be seen. Looks like some bit work/polish may have been going on. Its hard to tell from a picture.
Wow do you ever get to that river anymore? That is a fine area for artifacts. Not far from me though I tend to go south.
