You offered him more then it is worth in my opinion too.....Some people have ($) ($) in their eyes and think something is worth more then it is.......Doesn't mean someone with money to burn wouldn't pay more.

I use to go to auctions a lot, many times I have seen a bidding war between 2 or 3 people, and article is bid up past what it would cost new, just because a couple people have the "he isn't getting it away from me" mind set.

I would say the effigy is good and looks similiar to the material over on Duck River. Duck river is small and rocky, more like a creek really. The area has produced some very amazing artifacts to be sure. That is actually a very poor example of the many things found over there . I used to hunt the Duck but it gets pounded now. That price is ridiculous. Swords are still being found on occasion around here. Read the link below if you want to see some of the finest flint found in North America. I have seen the collection its beyond anything we will ever see here.
