Tree in your first picture to the right of the one with the white base can you get a close up of that point sometime? Any idea what it is? Looks like a ground base and grooved somehow
The frames are looking great. That red really sets that flint up for a show.Looks good.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Beautiful artifact. Seeing the detail on that rock shelter find is amazing. Its not what I thought from the other pic but maybe like a flint creek with a little wear. Thanks for taking the time to shoot it again. Good luck in your future hunt !

Yes thats it ! Do you know what it is?
I hope some experts chip in Tree, I think its a Big Sandy. Maybe like 10,000 years old. Worth some bucks. I have seen them but never found. I could be wrong but you had what looked like a Russel cave point and a Beaver lake and some very early archiac/paleo out of that shelter so a big sandy would not surprise me.
I would PM Neanderthal see if he is up on the points from our area or Thirty7 might know.
Nice one. Yep worth typing for sure. The trick to them is the ground base and the base is bigger than the blade it what I am reading right now.
Good luck.

I know people do not like overstreets but they seem to have several similiar listed. Looks like they could put Grahams and big sandy together almost. Pretty neat old piece.
Tn mtns, that one isnt from the shelter im digging, its from that field i had such good luck out of this spring.
ive got at least 2 big sandys from that place and a wheeler (maybe 2) or the 2 is maybe a dalton
not sure.
i just rearranged a couple frames from that field.
ive got all the cave stuff in a frame by itself
ill get a pic of it for ya
Always enjoy seeing stuff that is close. I have found a Dalton ''Colbert" type here. I Like Daltons. Come do a river hunt by boat after deer season? We can get on some late Dallas Temple mound sites if they are plowed.
