A Couple of New Clovis Blades

Numbers 1 & 4 (from left). Both from Kentucky and a bit over 4" in length.

The left one's uncannily like one of the Barnes points from the Thedford II site with a broken base, only it's a uniface and much too thick.

Sorry for having the other stuff in with them -- was illustrating Trapeziodal (1 & 2) and prismatic (3-5) blade forms ; this is the only halfway decent picture of them I could come up with.

How the picture got cropped on the top I have no idea.

Not a lot of people would consider stuff like them very appealing.

    But I do

Far as I'm concerned, your good, Bro' !

Thing is, if they were in situ, in undisturbed ground, I'd turn the site over to a trustworthy, decent guy (or gal) archaeologist. No-brainer there.

The dirt between the artifacts is every bit as important as the artifacts are. Sometimes, more so. There's a lot more information in it than people even suspect.
