My first arrowhead????????

Well, I went to a field in Mountain City Tennessee this past weekend where many arrowheads have been found. My brother in law took me out and showed me what to look for. It was about 15 degrees and windy so we stayed out for maybe 30 minutes. Didn't find anything until I was about to open the door to the truck to leave and I saw this just beside the front tire. My question....... Is this my first arrowhead? If so, what type? Thanks for any help!

Yep its white quartz. Probably a knife. I would not be the person to type it though. I find many just like that here in Tn. The quartz stuff is rarely perfect and its very hard to see the distinct flake marks on it. Very nice find and congratulations on your first ancient artifact.

Oh yeah, that's real. My first thought that it was a pre-form, or a 'blank',(though that's cool too) but as stude said, obvious knapping.

Congrats. on your first point man!!!! Yes, its real! I have hundreds of white quartz points. Point type, I would say Laurel Leaf maybe. I have one identical to it but mine is pure clear crystal quartz. Stan Payne

Nice find! I have only found one quartz point in over thirty years of hunting. Not a lot of them in my neck of the woods.

Difficult to id with no base, but it was prolly an arrowhead at one time, then utilised as a blade/knife.
