Littlejohn.........I like Tools also................the Quarry site has had many of them come out due to the fact of knapping preforms,they would knapp Tools also .............rework broken preforms ect

You should be able to find Flake Scrapers with as many flakes as you find.........Plus the blue Hafted-Scraper you found the other day...............your field reminds me alot of my Lake site with flakes......everywhere......................but not much evidence of a *Quarry* site
Just a well used Site.....................when you find Scrapers that were points,it is just a matter of time before the points come up.............
I have only found 3 broken points this month........................right now I waiting to find some dirt turned over!

us too....we have a field that we know hasnt been hunted....at least for many years. We have lightly hunted it...but it needs a disc real bad. We found a almost complete point out there and some flakes on the ground....but there is a lot of cover.

I have only hunted 2 plow fields in my life for Arrowheads................the first one I did good after a 7 inch rain!
The 2nd one I hunted last year and only found 2 complete artifacts..............
My field erosion finds..................are rare and due to surface erosion of some sort
Most Constructions sites ................are deep do to building roads and ect
The Quarry site is not a plowed field.....................thats why it is deep ,,,,,,,,

I call it a Quarry site......because thats what was going on there..........
As far as why it is..........and how it became...............
I leave many people confused for a good reason
I dont want local people thinking they can hunt on private property with out asking...........I have seen some ugly things where people get mad and salt a place because they cant hunt it
And since I'am the only one who hunts it,I have many and All artifacts from there............
It has a Calf Creek site exposed there.....................those are like finding Paleo sites...........very rare
One reason I mention it as the Quarry site................so people will know what I find there
I have used the term Quarry site to describe it since I have been online...................
Its because of the local people I cant explain it better...........
If I showed it on here.................people would say Ah-Ha................I knew it was something like that,
But I wont take that risk untill I'am finished hunting it................
All the other sites I hunt with the exception of erosion.................are open to all people,1st come 1st served...........

Had to smile when you said cow erosion. I have one field that is loaded. Problem is its in hay and you only find things the cows kick out. Their trails are nothing but flakes. I also wondered what you meant by quarry site as we actually have quarry sites here. Its fun to name your fields as you please we do the same.
