A fun.productive day at the Ripley OH show
The Ripley show was another huge turnout; over 108 tables filled and a fun and productive day! Thanks to Jon Dickinson and others for a wonderful time and making sure the show went on.
Attached are pics of my finds at the show. If you got stuff, or took pics, please share them.
The frame with the mica was all found by a friend of mine in 1993; I'm glad he decided to entrust it to me.
The other items are the remaining portions of a collection that I purchased this past December. I was told these items were sold, but it fell through, so I bought them today. All personally found in Clermont County, Ohio and along the Ohio River.
The last items are some tremendous Hopewell cores; the middle one is the size of the palm of my hand.
Sincerely,
John

Very nice artifacts Hopewell. I spent a good while handling those eye candy cores and I remember a couple of those. I gotta give props to Jon for putting on that great show. Really enjoyed meeting some tnet folks too. I think we traveled the furthest, but it was well worth the 5+ hour drive. I'll post a few from the show after I picture them tomorrow.

I'm glad you took some nice pictures man, I left my camera in the car. I did see SRV taking pictures so maybe he'll post em here too. Too many killer artifacts to take in, in only a few hours imo.
Here's a few pieces I picked up for the collection.
It was nothing but good times hanging out with some Ohio dudes and talking artifacts, hope to do it again next year.

Re: A fun.productive day at the Ripley OH show
First off, let me say it was a pleasure meeting all the Tnet members at the show. Creek Astronaut was there, as was Trevma, thirty7, pickaway, and Ohio and they a;; had some great artifacts with them. Creeks two Side Notch points are just spectacular and thirty7's Sonora tray was a sight to behold up close and of course Ohio had his killer Dove and the black Kirk. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and said hi.
Now for some pics from the show. The first one is a veiw from above of my tables(in the middle of the picture) and the rest are some more shots from above and a few shots of some displays. As usuall there was some fantastic pieces there. Two of the most impressive displays were the 5 or 6 trays of Sonora Flint pieces by Joe Roe and the guy with all the stone tools.

Here's the last ones. These are the trays of Sonora Flint pieces displayed by Joe Roe. Very nice pieces in these trays.
That's all the pictures I got before my batteries starting dying. Great show!! Glad to get to see everyone again and meet some new collectors. I hope to see you all next year.

Great pics Steve, your collection is much nicer in person, I really enjoyed looking through your frames. I'm glad he let you picture those Sonora frames, they're incredible. I think you can still see some puddles where I was drooling on the case, haha.

Re: A fun.productive day at the Ripley OH show
Thanks for all the great pics of the show and the relics!!!!!!! It was good seeing everyone. I will give the longest travel award to Thirty, although there were several other groups that were close. I also had someone from Central Missouri who almost came, and promises to be there next year. My only complaint is that SRV's great pics make the crowd look sparse. That was surely not the case. The room was stacked and packed all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It went so well, I might run it one more year. Thanks for all the support from everyone.
Regards,
Jon Dickinson.

Jon, those crowd pictures were taken early and is mostly just the displayers. I agree, the crowd was thick all day. Lots and lots of people came through.

Thanks for sharing pictures of the show, it looks it like a good time. I was out of town skiing for the last six days and the pictures are much appreciated.
