    Lake Insitu.........
    Found two points that day which is not uncommon once the Lake starts to producing level

    Arrowpoint size.....................!

    Stem up!
    It could have been anything......even broken,


    Turned out to be one of the best Hafted Scraper from the site,
    Found in the picture of shoreline in water-
    many of my insitus from Lake are in water.............
    Right now this area still under water.........but level is falling.....................

    Nice finds. I love lake shore hunting. There arn't many natural lakes in Texas. Around mid spring the water levels tend to drop in the resevoir impoundments in central Texas when they start flooding the rice fields down stream . It's a great time to hit shorlines of lakes along the Concho, and the Colorado. I did Amistad on the Devils river canyons once. OMG !! What a neat way to hunt! There's so much to see. Thanks for the pics. G

    That's a killer hafted scraper you got there.What kind of point do you think it started out as?I find quite a few but have a buddy that loves them so I trade him all of them except for the best of the best examples.What's crazy is that I have several Cache River "blunts" but have never found a complete example that hasn't been reworked.
    Arrowhead shaped leaves are the enemy!

    John ......I think the point has been heat-treated,it shows pretty well when it was wet...........
    So I'am thinking maybe a Johnson point..........
    I just dont have enough stem points like it to be sure yet
