    First hunt of the year , new to the board

    Hi,
    Long time lurker here first time poster, I figure it was time I jump in ‘n show off my first hunt of the new year , ( N. Illini area ).

    Lets see if I’ve been playing attention ….

    Archaic (early ) , chert maybe St. Charles………… ?

    i'd say your right with early archaic but i would say it's in the thebes cluster

    Thanks guys,

    I did find another interesting stone, upon close inspection there appears to be evidence of work/chipping along with the blade edge unlike common plow marks but more like intentional shaping ?


    No sure if its geo or not ?
