    Some NC Stuff

Took a few pics of past finds. I really like the crystal when I can find it. The smokey quartz blade is a odd one.

Great pictures---would so love to find an intact crystal piece. Bought a few chipped pieces last year, maybe this summer I can find my own spot for these beauties. Just hard to think these would have been 'used' for hunting.
Did you find these near water ? Any hints on where to search in SW Va ??

Nice looking quartz roaddog. I like the crystal clear stuff too, it's pretty rare even in our area.

The workmanship on the points is first rate. The quartz is a fine example and I find some but never of that quality. I find the actual crystals here because the caves are full of them but never anything worked by man. I guess just admired at the old home fire. Always enjoy seeing what you pull out and show. Enjoy seeing your bottles as well

Those are great finds. I like the milky quartz best, it shows up the flaking. The Trans quartz Rowan is a beauty. Also the green rhyolite as some fantastic flaking on it. Thats what I miss about NC but, I have decided I am going back there to live. Florida isn't for me, I like spring water & less bugs...Nice finds RD..

Fields I hunt are always on or near a river or stream though sometimes the water source isn't obvious like it was thousands of years ago. The field behind my house used to be along a river , but now is a swampish stream. Find crystal there as alot of my hunting buddies do in the whole NC piedmont area.

Eroded areas on high spots that overlook the new river can pay off. I've found artifacts on dirt roads that parallel the river. You're in a artifact rich area, there have been many paleo camps found around Bburg and the surrounding valleys. Cumberland and Clovis have been found in numbers there. It's on my map as an area to hunt seriously.
