    My first! :)

I got permission to walk a freshly plowed field at lunch today. It had just rained, so things were still wet. Found what looks to be a broken arrowhead!!
My husband Ralph & I had found several small chips and flakes of flint and chert on the same property, only on unplowed areas.
Am attaching pictures of both sides of the arrowhead. Can anyone help identify what kind this is, or
have any information? Thanks in advance

It is a hafted (tied to a stick) point, whether an arrowhead, spearpoint or knife (hard to tell) that was broken and re-cycled as a cutting and scraping tool. Nice first find !

Congratulations on the first find. One thing that you'll notice is that the surface is a different color than the inside. This is the patination of the old surface. The newer plow caused breaks expose fresh flint and display the original color of the material. Again, congratulations.
