Great finds , great pics! That much stuff to look at on the surface would make my head explode. Thanks for the view, it's like a virtual field hunt.

When times get slow for us Larson is kind enough to shoot dirt pictures so we can hunt on line.
Nice recoverys. I guess the freeze heaved up some stuff this winter. The bone is sure white from being above ground all winter. 3 to 4 weeks til you can plow?

You and me both. I don't think I could hunt larsons site while walking. I'd be afraid I'd miss something.

Great finds larson!! My site I've been hunting the past couple weeks looks just like yours with bone, shell, pottery, and flint everywhere. I love it!!!

    Re: saturday morning

    thanks molly
the material in question is Knife River Flint (KRF)
the KRF comes from the quarrys tro the west of where the Knife River flows into the Missouri River by stanton, north dakota
this is quite a ways north from me but the krf has been distributed all over the US

That's funny Tnm but I believe you're right, lol.

Although Lars & friend have already found many artifacts on that site the amount of surface cultural debris I see in those pictures tells me there's much, much more to be found!
