    Gorget?

    Found this on a recent river hunt:



    It appears to be some type of gorget that was broken (note half hole areas around the edge). It's made from fossilferous limestone.

    I'd appreciate any feedback anyone can offer.

    not sure what a gorget is but would guess it as being a tool for shaping/sizing arrows........

    i found some similar, but much bigger and a lot more notches. i was told it is called a banner stone

    Very nice....yes it is a gorget....nice find......looks to be what is called a reel-shaped gorget.
    I go a great distance,while some are considering whether they will start today or tomorrow
