afternoon 4-25-10 & jaw notched agate point
found about ten things walking this afternoon
1rst image 2 KRF drills and point
and a good jaw notched agate point and agate triangle
jaw notched points seem to be real good quality almost all the time
the last image pieces found are L to R,
deer antler flaking tool (broke)
elk antler perforating tool
deer bone awl
mussel shell game piece
chert knife

That is a great bunch of points there Lars. We finally got a couple inches and a good wash so I will be out lookin today.
How much rain did you guys get over there, and was it hard enough for a good wash? It is still raining here now.

Dude what a awesome hunt....That side notch looks like a G-10 to me.....The drill is super sweet too...Congrats on a great hunt!

Man oh man, that Jaw Notched Agate Point is one fine piece of eye candy. They just don't get much better that that. That thing is a picture of perfection. Great material, excellent flaking, and what looks like perfect symmetry. If that's not a G10 then I don't know what is.
Killer finds for sure larson. It looks like you are off to a great start.

i was tinkin' should i try to gather up the jaw notchers and do a thread on them  ?
they always seem to be of a very special quality
and i know that they were not made by the same person for sure
i have never found one that is of any less than a g-9 or g-10 grade
can any of you experts explain why this is
