My First Insitu Photos.
Mrs Buckhunter went to the Daughters house to visit so I got to sneak my xmas camera on a hunt. Went out right after a hard shower to an uncles field and here is what washed out! This is an awesome spot overlooking the Mississippi river bottoms, Ive found a couple of axes here and many points best part is he saves it for me.

Great looking pieces, what is the red material? is it heat treated? do you have any more pieces with that material? question after question huh. . You do have some great hunting around your area, good luck in the future hunts, JYD...

Re: My First Insitu Photos.
Im sure it is heat treated Burlington chert from around here. And yes I do find lots of colorful flint. One day Ill put together a few pics of the stuff. You have to remember that the Missouri, Mississippi, and Illinois rivers converge just south of here, Im not kidding when I say you can find relics in almost every patch of turned up earth along the Mississippi river valley. As long as your willing to walk

Re: My First Insitu Photos.
looks like a blast! Can we see more pics of the first point? is it ground? It almost looks more archaic than a Hopewell cluster point.

Love the colors. They really stand out. That dirt looks rich as well I can see why it would be a good area. Nice insitus. Fun yes? Good luck Buck Hunter.
