Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland

Anyone ever hunt on the Proving Grounds? I did back in 1963 with a couple friends. They introduced me to arrowhead hunting. Found some nice ones on the bluffs overlooking the Chesapeake Bay and in the cornfields next to our housing area. These brothers and their father had a spectacular collection even way back then.

good luck. theres not much getting on the base anymore. i know theres beauties to be found there though. if anyone can get out there let me know. would love to see some peices from there.

The few that I found were nothing to get excited about. Still have them at my Dad's place in Florida. I distinctly remember one day when I was walking out to the bluff I met the brothers and their Dad coming back, and he pulled out a big beautiful, perfect point that must have been at least four inches long. But that was many years ago... I live in Iowa now and have been having a good year.
