    3rd Arrowhead of 2010 July 21st

    Hello,

It rained yesterday (21st) here so I got out to the creek for a little & came up with a nice corner notch (I think) plus a nice scraper.
It looks as though the ears had been broke & reworked? I have another corner notch so I compared them & besides the ears being broke they are almost identical!

    Thanks for looking,

larson1951 Thanks for the info! Any idea on the Arrowhead?

I forgot to mention that I found the point about 30ft from the scraper.

Molly, Thanks my NEW camera is in the shop getting the lens cleaned so I had to use my phone but it takes pretty good pics.

I'm 100% unqualified to offer an opinion but I'll take a stab nonetheless - I'd say that's a Hopewell or other Woodland corner notch. I'd guess some others may ID it as early Archaic.

I'd have to agree with twitch. It looks like a Woodland type point to me and probably Hopewell related. Very nice finds and great pictures.
