A bad way to store celts, misc. & fossils, but I like it
This looks like a recipe for disaster, but I find it's a great way to store/display misc. items.
In this case this is a large copper kettle I found at an abandoned sugar plantation that was carefully filled with broken celts, pestles, sharks teeth, and a plummet that doesn't fit well in a frame. As long as you don't jostle them around, nothing gets dinged, scratched or marked.

Not a bad idea it is just one of those don't touch things. That is a killer of a shark tooth

Got the same thing in my LR; celts, hoe and axes.
Nice centerpiece!

You need some display cases.. Its a crime to leave them like that..
I sure would like to see pics of everything in that kettle.

I've got about 50 wooden cases that I've bought over the years (I trade for them or buy one or two at every show), but it's hard to display celts in there, and dinged celts are pretty common finds for me.

Joshua, awesome looking artifacts and a very cool way to display them. You say they are broken but I see quite a few that look awfully good to me. Thanks for the pictures.

I like it. Like that old copper as well. I really think the guy was kidding with you. Probably been reading here for a while
I have a friend that has an old jug full of some of the prettiest points and grooved axes from when he lived in Iowa. He pours them out to show me everytime I see him. Cracks me up. It is his collection.
Nice display. Some C.A Celts?? Like the megladons.
Take care.
